James L S Carter is a First Class Honours Oxford Graduate in English Language and Literature with 9 Higher Grade Passes. He qualified as a Teacher of English and English as a Foreign Language on a course held jointly at the University of Edinburgh and Moray House College of Education. He has had experience of teaching in a State Secondary School in Glasgow and of teaching English as a Foreign Language overseas in a language school in Italy (1978-79) and in Japanese State University (1979-1981) as well as in various language schools in Edinburgh, Linguavox School in London and the Institute of Applied Language Studies of Edinburgh University. James was born in 1955.
